The Union-Snyder Area Agency on Aging (USAAA) is available to help people 65 and older (or 60+ with qualifying health issues) sign up for a COVID-19 vaccine appointment. If you or someone you know could use assistance making a vaccine appointment, call the Union County location of the USAAA at (570) 524-2100 or the Snyder County location of the USAAA at (570) 374-5558 and any staff member will be able to assist you.
In addition to assistance scheduling vaccine appointments, Rabbit Transit is partnering with local organizations to offer free shared rides to and from COVID-19 vaccine appointments.
According to the Union-Snyder Area Agency on Aging, “Rabbit transit is dedicated to ensuring that transportation is not a barrier in getting vaccinated and is ready to assist the community with transportation to reach their vaccine appointments. Advance reservations are required. When scheduling a shared ride trip to a vaccination site, riders must have a confirmed COVID-19 appointment at the location they are requesting transportation. Residents will need to call Rabbit Transit no later than noon the business day prior to their appointment. Rabbit Transit staff will assist individuals through the reservation process.
If you are in need of transportation to a COVID vaccination site, contact the Rabbit Transit Call Center at 1-800-632-9063 Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.”
If you or someone you know qualifies for the COVID-19 vaccine but has not yet made an appointment, the USAAA is available to assist you.
